Did You Know...

That Go Diego Go is on TV at 1am? Well it is..and how do I know you ask? Because I'm up - we're all up...again. Bennett wants to play, Bowser wants to pee and Jim and I just want to sleep. I'm not enjoying this new schedule. Do you think maybe Bennett and Bowser are plotting against us?
Do you think I should use this time to make my apple pie?

Oh my, super sorry! I have had kids get out of whack before. No idea what to do about the dog. Here is what to do about the kid. This is what we have done in the past.......(it is kind of mean)....but it works!

Keep him up. It is super mean, but do not let him sleep. No napping nothing for the whole day. If he starts to nod off, wake him right up. Then put him to bed like at 8 or 9. He should sleep all night(should.....let me know if he doesn't then we can go to plan B), but do the same thing for the next day too. It is a crazy two days, but by the end of the second day every child of mine has returned to their "normal" sleeping routine. What is his nap schedule right now? You may want to go to only one 2 hour nap a day. For us this has happened after day light saving time. So hopefully he doesn't do this again in a couple weeks. LOL!

My one child that did this consistently (ANNA!) at four sleeps all night every night. So this too shall pass. It is just so hard, cause you need your sleep!!!

Well, we think that Bennett will really 'enjoy' his sleep-over next Friday at Poppa and Mummu's - Friday night Hockey.

Like my wise father (Grandpa Jimmie) use to say "When children are hungry they will eat and when they are tired they will sleep". We never forced our children to sleep or eat. Children will survive ... but oh, you poor parents! It just sounds so easy when we are not the ones up with Bennett at 1:00 a.m. ... now 4:00 a.m. we can take! Ha! Ha!

You are probably not alone in this situation that is why the TV network puts 'Diego' on at that untimely hour. Once again, thank God for TV.

Hopefully, tonight will go better and if not, we are just a phone call away. Don't hesitate!

Take care, get some rest and God Bless!

Lots of love

Just typing a quick note to say that I hope you do not read this right away. I am hoping that you are in bed having pleasant dreams :)

We have 3 cats and I can empathize with you on the animal wake up calls. It is really hard when they are sick also, especially since they cannot tell you what is going on.

Keep us posted.

Suze: I took your advice but had to modify it a bit. We attended a birthday party on Saturday afternoon and he was pooped! We let him have his afternoon nap (We're down to the one nap a day) but only let him sleep for an hour. It seemed to do the trick as he slept well last night. All we now is to have Bowser stop peeing!

Mummu - don't think we won't call at 4 am!

Kiera - What are you doing up? Do you ever sleep? :)
