A Weekend Away

Two weekends ago, Jim and I went on a mini-vacation. We drove around northern Michigan and then returned to Sault Ste. Marie, ON where we took the Agawa Canyon train tour. We had a great time but missed Bennett a lot. He stayed at home with the grandparents (both sets) who I'm sure are still recuperating! Here are some pictures.

I think Jim was channeling Count Dracula in front of that train!!

Ok enough picking on Jim! I don't know if it is my Dracula inspired widows peek or my flowing black jacket that you are mistaking for a cape. But no I am not channeling Count Dracula, very funny though Kara. Just so you know Colleen, I did take a good pic of Barbara and I but you know Barbara ... why post the good pic it's not as funny.

Ha! I think the only Count Jim has ever channeled was Count Chocula of the famous chocolate cereal.

Glad you had a good time. I heard Bennett didn't suffer the effects of "Parent loss", since both sets of grandparents just had time to love him to pieces! Glad you had some down time. Lots of love,
Auntie Bonnie
p.s. I don't think you look like Dracula, Jim - - well, maybe a little??

Looks like you had a great time on your trip! The photos are beautiful! That is too funny that we were both staring at the Great Lakes over that weekend!

I am so jealous that you got to go over the bridge. Drew & I watched a show about the building of it (I know, very geeky!)

there were not many fall colors in Duluth when we headed up there, but it looks like you had a bunch on your trip!

The best part for grandparents (when Mom and Dad get away for a weekend) is that we get to share 'our pride and joy' - Himself - Bennett!

There is none finer - Bennett makes our lives complete.

He wakes up with a smile and goes to sleep with a smile. I know that Grandma and Mummu just like to lie with him as he sleeps and we watch him breath. What a wonderful experience.

OK ... we are glad that Mom and Dad had a nice 'holiday weekend' but we are really waiting for our (the grandparents) next 'baby weekend'!

... until then, be cool, enjoy and God Bless Everyone!

Ok, now I'm mad that you were a whopping 3 1/2 hours from my house! I haven't been to the bridge since I was preggers for Austin but every summer I say I want to drive up just because it's so neat.

Also, I saw on the hotel sign about the geocache'ing. Do you guys geocache?
