Finally - I have my apple pie! I baked it yesterday and it's delicious. I must confess though that I cheated. I had no idea until Monday that Pillsbury made refridgerated pie crusts - they don't tell you stuff like that on the Food Network. So I purchased the pie crust but I made my own filling.

Some say they can tell the difference. I cannot. I think the Pillsbury crust is awesome. I also buy grahamn cracker crusts too. They taste pretty much the same too. Glad you had your apple pie finally!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to do the whole homeaide crust thing. It hasn't worked for me. And I've decided that it's just not worth it.
