Breaking News!!!!!!

Guess who's walking? He's still on wobbly street but is improving everyday. This whole walking business just started on Monday night and he's made incredible progress in just 48 hours. He wants to walk everywhere and he wants us to follow him everywhere - and cheer of course.

This first video is short. I apologize for the clothes - long johns and a turtleneck onsie but Jim is responsible. In the second, longer video, I insisted he wear pants.

I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year. I love the way 2008 has ended and am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be more good things for us in 2009 because to be perfectly honest, 2008 pretty much kicked my ass. Bennett will be spending the evening with grandma and grandpa. I just hope they don't get him too drunk tonight - there's nothing worse than a hungover 2 year old.

Hi Bennett,
OMG!!!!!! LOOK AT YOU GO!!!THAT'S OUR BOY.........!!!
Grandma is crying, again, with joy and warm feelings in my heart. Grandpa is grinning from ear to ear. We told your daddy to make sure that you had your brace on so that we have to chase you! We can hardly wait to see you. You should be here in about 15 minutes. You are a fighter and a hard worker, that's for sure!
Lots of love, hugs and kisses

Holy cow!!! Is this the same little boy that I saw last week?!? When you said that he made "some really great walking progress" I had no idea that what you really meant was, HE'S ACTUALLY WALKING!!!

I couldn't be happier for you!

Hi Bennett,
it's grandma again. When you were here on New Year's Day you were walking all over the place. It was GREAT!
HOWEVER, what was all that business of trying to push me around the house? You put your hands on my butt and started to herd me all over. And how you laughed!!! Big, big belly laughs.
Now then, I wonder where he picked that up KARA??? I heard that Kasia does the same thing to you...this relationship does not bode well...I'm terrified that those two will get together to compare notes and plot some more stuff to control us...as if they don't control us enough as it is.
Be stern and don't let their CUTE ways influence your parenting. We have to stick together and be strong and present a united front to the little brats......oooopsss....I mean our little sweeties.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses

Oh - my dear Bennett, mom, and dad - - I am thrilled! Remember on Boxing Day - when I saw him walking on his knees, I suggested he would be walking on his own within a month. Oh well - - I under-estimated Bennett's tenacity! Congratulations to all - - what a wonderful way to begin this new year. Love to you all,
Auntie Bonnie
