The journey of a thousand miles sometimes ends very, very badly.
Well, last night she asked me how old I was - 42 or 43!! Once again, the woman crushes me.....
Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow. I remember that post. Call her Auntie-gets-it-wrong-everytime.
Celebrate life, not age.
(that other) Barbara
hahahahah....
I mean..... how awful!! And wrong!! So very wrong......
You should've taken away her cake.
that was sooooo funny!!! Poor Barbara, it was the first time that I ever actually saw anyone actually sputter!!! LOL.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses
Mother.....
Oh my - if only I could find someone who debated if I was 42 or 43 (albeit this is said from the perspective of a 57 y.o.!).
On another note, I wanted to ask how come all the pics of Bennett sleeping are with dad - - and in none of them is he sleeping with mom? Does dad sleep more??
Re Bennett's new bed - well, Dad had a great affinity for sleeping with his mom for some time. As long as he comes to love his own bed by the time he's 17 - - well, that will be good. I agree with the other posts, if he is in bed with you, he needs that reassurance. The good news is I'm sure it is reassuring to you to know that he is feeling secure. When he's ready, he'll move. Every person is so individual - whether you are 2.11 years old or 39 or 42/43, or 57! He'll work it out, as long as he is loved.
I have Bennett's BD present here. Are your going to celebrat in Florida or in Canada? I'll leave it with Mummu and Poppa.
Lots of love to you all,
Auntie Bonnie
Barbara - You're absolutely right - life over age!
Kara - I definitely should have taken her cake away. I had two opportunities since she had two pieces. After that comment she barely deserved one!
Mikey - Yeah - funny. Just remember that her comments make you 4 years older too!
Bonnie - To answer your question about sleeping arrangements: Yes Jim sleeps more - a lot more! He would be quite happy sleeping 16 hours a day I think. The two of them sleep quite well together - Jim doesn't mind having a toddler kicking him in the back and Bennett doesn't seem to be bothered by the snoring in his ear. I take exception to both of those behaviours!
We'll be celebrating Bennett's birthday here on the weekend before Christmas.
Happy late birthday! Thanks for sharing your Aunt story! Remember laughter keeps you young :)
