Tea Party

Last weekend Bennett attended his first and probably last tea party - at least with his 3 year old cousin Mackenzie. Apparently they had fun playing with with toys and sharing kisses for a while but things started going downhill when the tea party started. In typical boy (or 18 month old) fashion, Bennett was grabbing the cups and plates and throwing them on the floor. Mackenzie was very much annoyed and I can't say I blame her at all. That is NOT appropriate behaviour for a tea party - unless you're in Boston in the 1700s.

Cuteness all around 'tea party tete-a-tete'. Needless to say the 'tea party' was more meaningful to Mackenzie (being the girl) then to Bennett (being the tom boy) with other things on his mind.

Bennett will have to be much older before he realizes that sometimes you have to give into a woman's fancy for 'the finer things in life' in order to get on her good side. Throwing cups and plates on the floor just won't cut it ... if you want her to like you ... and we know that Bennett wants all (especially girls) to like him. Live and learn is the moto.

... now, if the plates had been full of REAL food and the cups full of juice maybe Bennett would have enjoyed the party. Ha! Ha!

Love to all

Hi Bennett,
that was quite the tea party you and Mackenzie had. It ended abruptly when you sent all the "china ware" to the floor. Mackenzie was not impressed. However, she seems to love you now.
It wasn't always like that. When she first met you, she told us that she really didn't like you and she didn't like your daddy either. However, she still liked Barbara. Times change....or do they? Somehow I can't imagine you ever wanting to partake in a a tea party even when you get into your twenties. The cutest part was whenever she wanted to talk to you she would pull your soother out of your mouth and stick it back in. In other words, she would plug you in and then unplug you. Lol. It was so sweet when she would squat down to talk to you and tickle your cheeks. All in all you both had a fine time.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses

The tea party was quite cute we really should have taped it. Just hearing Mackenzie telling him you have to wait for milk and sugar made us laugh. Bennett wanted to drink up now and when he had to wait I think frustration got the better of him. It was such a fun and wonderful visit and to see Mackenzie (mother hen show Bennett) I am sure they both enjoyed their little venture. We love Bennett to pieces.
Ashley said that anytime you want to add Mackenzie's pictures to your post, please feel free. You have her permission so if you want to post the other picture go ahead.

Love to you all for your hard work, and we are available it you need a sitter for Bennett also eh.
