Today was Bennett's big day - he graduated from the Jr. PATH program at our local Children's Treatment Centre. As expected the cuteness factor was almost too much. All of the kids seemed a bit overwhelmed with all the people there but did a great job anyway. They began the ceremony by performing a tapping song and then followed that up with an inspiring version of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". After that came the graduation march and first up was Bennett.
He looked pretty confused at first but once the applause started he got into the swing of things and had to be pushed out of the way. Every time I watch the video I laugh. At the time my eyes were too filled with tears to notice my little guy hamming it up.
I can't say enough about this amazing program. Everyone single wonderful person involved is dedicated to the children. We are so grateful that Bennett was able to participate. I attribute many of the gains he has made over the last few months to the Jr. PATH program. We are also very excited about the fact that he has been invited to attend the Sr. PATH program in September. We can't wait (although summer can take its time).

Awe sweet! He looks so cute in his little cap and gown. WTG buddy.
I had tears in my eyes too! WOW what a big boy! He is so cute and just is doing so well! I agree summer can take its time though, but by the end of August we probably will all be happy to get back into a routine!
I'm so glad they put the cap & gowns on the kids, it revs that cuteness factor WAY up!
All the grandparents were there. Our hearts overflowing with pride for our little boy who isn't a baby anymore. Not many kids can boast that they had their first graduation ceremony when they were only 2 1/2 years old! Bennett was soooooooo cute that he brought tears to my eyes and grandpa's eyes,I noticed, were damp too. Lol. It's amazing all that he has accomplished since he started going to J. Path! Thank goodness for the therapists who give 100% of themselves to the children who need them the most.
We are so fortunate to have a little boy like Bennett in our lives, to love, encourage and guide through whatever challenges he might encounter as he grows into a young man to be proud of.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses,
Grandma and Grandpa
Like - way too cute! Bennett is a real trooper, and certainly likes the attention. Congrats to all. It's been a year of many "firsts" and many more to come.
Love,
Auntie Bonnie
WAY cute, Barbara! With that nice stick in his hand, he looked like a little Harry Potter to me! Clearly the Path program has done some good work - which can seem magical, eh?
