Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow. Dear Bennett,
you are so wonderful that I don't know where to start. Your smile makes grandma's and grandpa's innards turn to mush and makes us feel warm all over.
Every new accomplishment is cause for celebration and we celebrate a lot! You make us laugh every day, often to the point of tears. When you're sick we cry along with you and wish that we could take away whatever is hurting you.
No matter what the future holds for you, the one thing that will always remain constant is the unconditional love and support of everyone who knows and loves you,
and there are MANY.
You also have the best mommy, daddy, family and friends.
Love you forever,
Grandma & Grandpa
The story of your conception and birth, Bennett, makes me know more deeply that you are truly a gift from God - to all of us. to your parents - it was no surprise to me that you two wanted to be "mom and dad", even before you were married. Isn't that the essence of love - wanting to make our love for each other have human expression?
Thank you Barbara & Jim, for sharing your story. I'm sure many parents struggling with issues of infertility will resonate with your experiences - and also share your joy.
Lots of love, Auntie Bonnie Anne
