This is Bennett's favourite game lately and he would probably play for hours if he could get a willing partner. He's not a real fan of the hiding part unless it involves standing in the middle of the room with a blanket over his head. I guess he figures that as long as he can't see you, then you can't see him. His favourite part of the game is the seeking. He's very good at covering his eyes and counting to ten. However, as you can see in the picture below - Bennett tends to cheat a little.
I've also added a picture and a video from our weekend of camping. The picture shows my three favourite boys swimming. The video shows Bennett engaging in another favourite game - throw the soother in Murphy's direction and then laugh hysterically as Mommy and Daddy try frantically to get to it before the dog. The game starts near the end of the video. It ends abrubtly as I get called into action to help rescue the soother.

What a cute video! That is amazing that he is counting so well!!!
Love this! Neat cognitive stuff going on with Hide-n-Seek (even the cheating is a cognitive behavior).
Throwing the soother is so much more complicated. Might require more training. ;)

I love playing hide and seek with Bennett! I have "looked" for him under, over, behind and in front trying to find him. Under a pillow, in the cupboard, in a drawer, under a toy....and he just goes crazy when I get nearer and ever closer to him. He will try to mold himself to grandpa thinking that I might not find him. He just loves watching people "look" for him. It's hilarious. It is also my favourite game to play with him.
He is so much fun camping with.
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, knows him and greet him when we go for a walk or a stroller ride.
Everywhere we go, I hear someone yelling his name. That kid is going to get some sort of complex, I tell you. For a kid wearing a brace he can sure walk FAST. Faster than I can walk. He will get me into shape running after him.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses,
Grandma and Grandpa
Looking forward to seeing him soon at the Park
HA!!! I remember when Max first was into hide and seek, it was a) adorable and b) cool that he was figuring out the permanent-object thing.
Camping looks like so much fun.... I just told my husband the other day we need to do it. I think the kids would love it.
Happy holiday weekend!
